Pan's Labyrinth

Μια εξαίσια φράση είναι η εξής “ νιώθω οτι είμαι παρατηρητής του ίδιου μου του εαυτού , οτι δεν ζω πραγματικά, οτι ζω μέσα από τις ονειροβασίες μου “ . Η πικρή αλήθεια είναι οτι οι ονειροβασίες αποτελούν έναν αγαπημένο τόπο διαμονής όπου η λέξη πικρία και λύπη είναι άγνωστες , εκτός βέβαια εάν το επιθυμήσει κάποιος και συνήθως τότε είναι αρκετά ελεγχόμενες.

Κάποιος μπορεί πολύ εύκολα να παρατηρήσει οτι αυτό δεν είναι παρά χάσιμο χρόνου κάτι στο οποίο κάνει ολοφάνερα λάθος διότι αυτή είναι κάτι που προσφέρει ευτυχία και από πότε το να είναι κανείς ευτυχισμένος αποτελεί λανθασμένη επιλογή; Ανέκαθεν θεωρούσα οτι κύριως λόγος ύπαρξης μας, πέρα από το να αφήσουμε κάτι στην ιστορία , να μην παρασυρθούμε σαν ένα ακόμη φθινοπωρινό φύλλο σε ένα δάσος της Νέας Αγγλίας ή της Φινλανδίας , είναι η αναζήτηση της ευτυχίας, αυτού που θα κάνει το καθέ ένα από εμάς να νιώθει πληρότητα , μιαν ολοκληρωμένη και χαρούμενη πληρότητα, να μην προσδωκεί να έρθει η επόμενη ημέρα γιατί δεν το χρειάζεται , είναι ήδη ευτυχισμένος . Δεν εννοώ αυτό το ανεκδιήγητο “ ζήσε τη στιγμή” διότι στιγμή είναι και ο ύπνος, μπορεί κανείς να ζήσει πιο έντονα τον ύπνο; Μπορεί να ελέγξει τη φάση R.E.M; Αν ναί, τότε ας απευθυνθεί στην Σουηδική εταιρεία Νευρολογίας -την εγκυρότερη παγκοσμίως- για να βοηθήσει και τους συνανθρώπους του.

Ένα αρκετά καλό αντεπιχείρημα μπορεί να θέτει το αρκετά καλό ερώτημα , πως ορίζει κάποιος την ευτυχία; Η απάντηση σε αυτό το ερώτημα είναι καθαρά προσωπική διότι ως διαφορετικά όντα αντιλαμβανόμαστε διαφορετικά το πολύ λεπτό αυτό συναίσθημα , μπορούμε όμως να πούμε οτι όλοι , ή σχεδόν όλοι αποζητούμε την αγάπη σε κάποιο βαθμό. Η αγάπη αυτή μπορεί να είναι απλής μορφής , όπως η αποδοχή από ένα άλλο άτομο , ή η ειλικρινής φιλία ή να κάνεις κάτι που το λατρεύεις κάθε μέρα. Μπορεί όμως κάποιος εξ ημάς να μην μπορεί να πραγματοποιήσει τίποτε από αυτό λόγω συνθηκών που δεν του επιτρέπουν να ευδοκιμήσει-σαν ένα φυτό που όταν του πάρεις το ήλιο, το νερό και το σωστό λίπασμα δεν μπορεί να αναπτυχθεί- τότε γιατί να του στερείται αυτή η ικανοποίηση , δεν αναφέρομαι βέβαια στις ονειρώξεις εφήβων αλλά στην πλάση μιας φανταστικής πραγματικότητας μέσα στην οποία κάποιος ντροπαλός μπορεί να είναι αρκετά κοινωνικός, κάποιος που βιώνει συνεχώς λυπητερές καταστάσεις μπορεί να δραπετεύει σε ένα κόσμο ονειρικό όπου έχει όλα όσα είχε ονειρευτεί. Εικονικό; Πλασματικό; Ιδιαιτέρως παιδικό; Όχι , σίγουρα είναι μια τεχνική που έχει εφαρμοσθεί και στα λεγόμενα παραμύθια -βλέπε κοριτσάκι με τα σπίρτα- , όμως είναι συνήθες φαινόμενο σε άτομα που δέχονται κάποιας μορφής κακοποίησης καθημερινά ή έχουν δεχθεί στο παρελθόν . Θα μπορούσε ποτέ κάποιος να τους απαγορέψει να ζούν στην δική τους προσωπική ουτοπία ; Σαφέστατα και όχι.

Μεταμεσονύκτιο παραλύριο όταν έχεις την ψυχίατρο σου δίπλα να ξερνάει -εν λαικιστί – τα έντερα της.

ΥΓ Αγαπητή Κορντήλια είμαι υπομονετικός άνθρωπος, εδώ μπόρεσα να μην κατουρηθώ από τα γέλια όταν άκουσα το περίφημο “ Ρομπέρτο Εκο” της Φανής (εξ μου και Ελληνίδα Κριστεν Μπελ ,παρακαλώ) , όμως η υπομονή έχει και τα όρια της. Αναλογίσου διαφορές στην συμπεριφορά .

Time of Your Life

Okay so what if i had another post planned for today? The release of Buffy's latest comic required my attention and review so we better get started with it.

I have never been a huge fan of Fray, mainly because I was never a big supporter of “end all things magical” , sure it sounds interesting and from a writer's point of view exciting but it just doesn't seem appropriate for Buffy . Sure if Joss Whedon ever wanted to pull the plug on Buffy once and for all the whole End of Magic would sound great for it would leave him with a pretty good excuse to stop writing any Buffy related stories.

Enough with my ranting about Fray's uselessness , time to get to business and review the last part of the “Time of your Life” series. When one reads one of Joss Whedon's stories one can surely expect witty dialog , very ingenious writing and eerie plot twists and tangles, even when something is pretty much predictable Joss makes it exciting to read or watch , the result of this is that when one comes a across an issue or an episode where these elements are pretty much limited one feels the urge to feel a bit disappointed, That was my first reaction when I finished reading the latest issue of Buffy's season 8 . The TOYL arc or what I call Joss's “ Back from the Future” tribute begun exciting , its climax during the 2^nd and 3^rd issue was pretty much foretold but it nevertheless took our breath away, it stirred questions as to where the story was heading to , left the reader the bittersweet feeling of something that is foretold and to make long story short created the impression of a bone crushing final issue . Personally I feel a bit disappointed , I think that given Joss's talent and abilities he could have delivered us with a better issue, sure he cannot reveal everything due to the continuity of the series , future spoilers etc but he did not provide answers to the essential questions raised in and for this arc, sure we were given the identity of the mysterious person who Buffy was supposed to meet in New York but we were treated very poorly in regard of the whole Future Dark Willow storyline. He did introduce a short lived character, someone who was meant to be used just for this arc, he never showed us any of her true motives, except for the vague assumption that she either wished Buffy or herself to die, other than that we know nothing of what drove that character to develop such a hatred and be a triple spy . I absolutely understand that some extra information may ruin the flow of the series but given its current status things are way to lucid for their own sake.

We saw Buffy kill Future Dark Willow and then return to the modern day New York via the assistance of contemporary Willow , instead of storming off or walking away in disbelief she cries and hugs her friend that for me was the turning point of this issue, it showcases the bond between the two women and the fact that our characters have grown in numerous ways than we last saw them in season 7. For if anything similar had occurred during these days it would have created a rift between them but the glimpse of a rather pessimistic and horrid future caused Buffy to believe -or so I assume- that in order for that to be prevented she must work closely with the ones she holds dear and trusts . Which brings us to two things that the majority of the reading audience - the ones known as sheep- considers to foretell the destruction of all things magic , the first being the existence of Fray and her sister after Buffy returned to 21^st century New York and the other is the destruction of the future slayer's scythe. What has “Back from the Future” taught us? That one can only alter the future if only he/she commits an act that will change things up , or of course is moments away from committing it, Buffy has done nothing of the sort yet, she has only embraced her old friend, she has not begun taking actions yet. When it comes to the

Scythe, it was merely an act of depriving Melaka Fray of her status as a slayer, she does not deserve to bear the legacy and the abilities that Buffy has and that the Scythe stands for ,it was not an extraordinary action for it was pretty similar to her confronting Faith in season's 3 finale. Also it provides as with an insight as to what she plans on doing with those rogue slayers that are currently committing atrocities .

As expected when reads the dialogues he/she can actually see on his mind Sarah Michele Gellar or any other cast member uttering their lines on screen and as one expects they hold the usual Whedonic quality as far as originality and coherence -as well as pop culture reference. It did have some comic relief when it was needed, especially during the last pages with Kennedy's faux-jealous comments on Buffy pulling Willow into what appeared to be a rather tight embrace which was right after FDW's death . The pacing was solid, it was fast when it was supposed to and slow when it was requested of it.

Oh what would Buffy be without pop culture references, in this issue we had a rather bizarre combo tribute to Lord of The Rings and the Wizard of Oz , the first being with the Ent like creatures going to war against some devilry spawned by dark magical forces and the second one being with Xander's helmet which did hold a rather nice appearance to the Hay man .

PS Willow followed the Snake Lady's instructions on not to look what's going on on the other side, the only person whose advice did Willow so blindingly follow was Tara's ... Food for thought?

Being John Malcovitz

Δεν μπορώ να κατανοήσω τους ανθρώπους. Δεν μπορώ να κατανοήσω τι τους ωθεί στις πράξεις τους . Το αστείο είναι οτι γράφω διάφορες ιστορίες και μέσω αυτών προσπαθώ να κατανοήσω την ανθρώπινη φύση όσο μπορώ καλύτερα , κάτι που είναι κάθε άλλο παρά εύκολο διότι όσο καιρό και αν ασκείς το επάγγελμα του παρατηρητή λόγω της αδυναμίας σου να συνάψεις σχέσεις με γερά θεμέλια. Οι άνθρωποι είναι και θα παραμένουν ένα μεγάλο ερωτηματικό , η κάθε τους πράξη αντιστοιχεί και σε ένα διαφορετικό μοτίβο , μπορεί κάποιος να ενώσει τα μέρη του; ΄Η μήπως κρύβονται όλοι πίσω από άπειρα προσωπεία τα οποία αλλάζουν ανά δευτερόλεπτο ώστε να μην βρεθούν ευάλωτοι μπροστά στον οποιονδήποτε;

Αντιδρούν το ίδιο μπροστά σε κάποιον που δεν θα νοιαστεί περαιτέρω για αυτούς και απέναντι σε κάποιον που πραγματικά είναι διατεθειμένος να τους δώσει απλόχερα την φιλία του ; Η προσωπική μου άποψη είναι πως αυτό σπάνια συμβαίνει και ο λόγος είναι οτι ο κάθε ένας από εμάς έχει εμφυτεμένη μια θεωρία συνωμοσίας μέσα του. Και το όνομα αυτής είναι “ Όλοι θέλουν να με βλάψουν” . Δεν παίζει σημασία εάν ο άνθρωπος αυτός είναι ένας μεγιστάνας ή ο πιο φτωχός άνθρωπος του κόσμου , πάντα θα υπάρχει κάποιος να το επιδιώκει . Βέβαια υπάρχουν κάποιο οι οποίοι μπορούν να θέσουν σε έλεγχο αυτή την προσωπική τους παράνοια και να συνάψουν κάποιες καλύτερες σχέσεις με τους γύρω τους , άλλοι αφήνουν το ελεύθερο το τέρας αυτό και ωθούνται σε λάθος αποφάσεις με αποτέλεσμα στο τέλος της ημέρας να κλείνονται σε ένα ολόενα και πιο στενό κλουβί . Το κλουβί αυτό δυσχεραίνει τις ικανότητες αντίληψης και όταν βρεθούν μπροστά σε μια νέα προοπτική υγιούς σχέσης τότε υποχωρούν προβάλλοντας ένα προσωπείο που δε συνάπτει με τα υπόλοιπα με αποτέλεσμα να απωθούν τον άλλο . Όλοι σχεδόν απομακρύνονται , λίγοι παραμένουν κοντά στον άνθρωπο αυτόν , γιατί πιθανότατα έχουν συνηθίσει σε αναλόγου τύπου συμπεριφορές , όχι γιατί το επιλέγουν συνειδητά.

Υπάρχουν και μερικές φορές όπου κάποιος συνηθισμένος στην συνεχή απόρριψη βρεθεί σε ένα υγιές περιβάλλον δεν θα ξέρει πως να αντιδράσει , δίνοντας χώρο σε παρανοϊκές σκέψεις που οδηγούν σε λάθος επιλογές. Εάν προτίθεται να μάθει μέσα από τα λάθη του και τις ατοπίες του είναι ένα στοίχημα το οποίο θα πρέπει αν κερδίσει με τον εαυτό του . Ένα στοίχημα που είναι προδιατεθειμένο να χαθεί κάποια στιγμή με καταστροφικές συνέπειες για τους δυο , ίσως και τον θάνατο ενός εκ του ζευγαριού. Με τον όρο θάνατο δεν απευθύνομαι μονάχα στον σωματικό θάνατο αλλά και στην ψυχική νέκρωση.

Το παραπάνω είναι ένα μείγμα ιδεών και μιας μικρής ψευτό- ανάλυσης για μια μελλοντική ιστορία , δίχως να αποκλείει αναφορές σε τωρινά πράγματα και καταστάσεις ( Αγαπητή Cordy επιθυμώ με όλη μου τη καρδιά τόσο εγώ όσο και οι υπόλοιποι να κάνουμε λάθος όσον αφορά το ποιόν σου αλλά και τις προθέσεις σου)

Lying On The Couch

THERAPIST: Please come in , feel free to sit or even lie on the couch , make yourself comfortable. I assume this is your first time .

ME: Not exactly doc, I had tried this once but I wasn't exactly sure if that was exactly a therapy.

THERAPIST: Okay, so what exactly brings you here?

Therapy's costs are pretty high for this country and my own personal account so I decided that a blog might be the cheapest way of sharing my loony thoughts and expressing my uttermost beliefs at the lowest cost possible. Thus I explained the reason why this webblog exists , of course there are other parameters such as why this blog will be bilingual (why wouldn't it be since its creator is herself a bilingual) and since why I would always use code names , except when discussing actual creative works or even political issues which will be discussed in due time. For now all we have to do is sit comfortably as everyone does when they first visit their therapist and wait till they feel comfortably enough to utter their first words.

PS Since I pretty much love a deviant art future which allows its users to give a specified and detailed report of what they are doing at the very moment please allow me to introduce this future:
